Au Tilleul sur Mittelhausbergen

I had the pleasure of dining at Au Tilleul during my agency's Christmas meal. The table was beautifully set, the service impeccable, the staff smiling and attentive, and the meal delicious. And the Christmas decorations are truly worth seeing; they're absolutely everywhere—outside, in the restaurant, at reception—it's magnificent and elegantly presented. Bravo! I highly recommend it.

The restaurant was genuinely good and the service was good. However, the service itself was disastrously organized. The wait was incredibly long; we arrived at 12:15 PM, received no menu until 12:45 PM, and by 1:49 PM we had been waiting for 15 minutes to be cleared and order dessert. We were the last table, and the three waitresses were busy clearing empty tables! The only positive comment was about the mixed-race waitress who always had a smile on her face. 😊

Excellent food with good ingredients, but the service needs improvement – ​​more attentive and welcoming.

The food is good, but the rooms need improvement. The mattresses are very soft; you can feel the positions of many other people who have slept there. It's not really a double bed but two single beds pushed together, which is uncomfortable with a bump in the middle. And in my shower, some of the pebbles that make up the floor were missing... all this in a very sloping attic room.

We arrived for lunch at 12:30 PM, having made a reservation in advance. We left at 2:05 PM. The service was extremely slow: the waitress took about 30 minutes to take our order, then we waited another 45 minutes before being served. Finally, it took another 35 minutes before she came to clear our plates and take our coffee orders. Aside from this very long wait, the meal was good.

Last night we ate at Le Tilleul at Jacques' table; it was a wonderful rediscovery. I had already had the opportunity to have lunch there several times a few years ago, and it was already very good. The menu is seasonal and varied, and we had a lovely evening. We highly recommend this establishment. 💫

I spent a few days at Au Tilleul following a change of hotel. I thank Mr. and Mrs. Lorentz for their warm welcome, their attentiveness, and their professionalism, which made my stay very pleasant, both in terms of the hotel and the restaurants. Don't change a thing, it was perfect! See you soon!
