A magnificent gastronomic interlude at Vieux Moulin Grauthal We had the pleasure of spending a night and an evening from August 7th to 8th at Vieux Moulin Grauthal, and what a wonderful discovery it was! From the moment we arrived, we were touched by the simple, warm, and deeply familial welcome, with a professional, attentive team who always maintained a wonderfully down-to-earth atmosphere. We chose the 7-course "Gourmet Stroll": a truly exceptional gastronomic experience from beginning to end. A magnificent journey through the flavors of the region, showcasing high-quality local products, enhanced by remarkable culinary creativity. Each dish tells a story, that of the land, its producers, and its marvelous products. A true gastronomic voyage along local paths, with great finesse, passion, and precision. The room was spacious, very clean, and perfectly equipped: everything was in place for a wonderful night's sleep. And what can we say about the breakfast! Here again, a beautiful celebration of local produce and regional specialties, with truly wonderful, flavorful, and authentic ingredients. A huge congratulations and, above all, a massive thank you to the Kassel family and the entire team at Le Vieux Moulin for this magnificent experience. Sincere, inventive, and generous cuisine, a warm welcome just the way we like it, and professional service that remains friendly and personal. Fourth visit and, as always, we are blown away by the quality of the food. The blend of flavors is consistently amazing and well-chosen, the ingredients are local, and the service is impeccable. A timeless experience where you don't just come to eat, but to have a truly memorable culinary adventure.

This was our third time dining at this charming restaurant, and we were delighted once again! The cuisine is particularly inventive and enticing, the chef playing wonderfully with flavors and textures. The sommelier offered excellent advice. Bravo to the entire team!

One of the best restaurants in the area, offering enticing, seasonal, and locally sourced cuisine. A delight from start to finish, with excellent sommelier recommendations, and even a vegan menu available. A must-try!

We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The 4 course menu (which is elevated with many thoughtful amuses and other extras) was so creative, gorgeous to look at, and masterfully prepared. Every single bite, mousse, sprinkle, drizzle, sauce, and sorbet is absolutely bursting with flavour. The vegetarian menu is also excellent, and the selection of cheeses was a highlight. Everything is lovingly presented on some of the prettiest table and stemware we had ever seen. The service is friendly and multilingual. We were also very impressed by the amount of local ingredients our menu boasted.

It was a summer afternoon. We were on the terrace. The sun was shining brightly ☀️ In the morning, we had visited the houses carved into the rock. At noon, we headed to the restaurant at the old mill. A peaceful place that exudes the charm of the countryside. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely person who seated us at a small table, as there were two of us. We ordered an aperitif, and everything flowed seamlessly from there. Like a symphony orchestra playing a part. It was a ballet of amuse-bouches and dishes, each more delicious than the last. All this with the expert advice of a charming sommelier. What more can I say... We will return with great pleasure. Thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and their smiles.

Excellent value for money. Superb cuisine, charming rooms, friendly hosts, lovely location with views of the village or the forest pond. If the pond were suitable for swimming, it would deserve a sixth star.

We went for lunch: the discovery box was a wonderful experience, with delicious and surprising dishes, excellent cuisine, highly recommended.
