A delightful culinary discovery. The dishes and desserts were very good and generous. The restaurant staff are very friendly.

I really enjoyed the shaded terrace. The owner is very hands-on and knows how to motivate his team. The prices are very reasonable. Whether it was the mushroom tart, grilled ham, morbiflette, or trout fillet, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and our plates were empty. There's really nothing negative to complain about. I'll definitely be back.

You immediately feel like you're in a real family home where the customer isn't just a number. The dishes are generous, homemade, and made with excellent local Franche-Comté ingredients. From the morels and regional specialties to the indulgent desserts and beautifully presented plates, everything was a delight from start to finish. Special mention goes to the owner and his entire team who know how to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the kind that's becoming increasingly rare. Here, there's no fuss, just authenticity, good cheer, and food that makes you want to come back. You arrive to eat, you leave with a smile and the desire to book the next table! A hidden gem in our beautiful region. From booking to departure, the inn and its team deserve all the stars and...the detour is well worth it. Thank you again for your warm welcome and attentive service, which made our stay enjoyable and created wonderful memories. Like the other guests on Sunday at lunchtime, we found the meal vibrant and full of truly delightful flavors!

A wonderful discovery at the Auberge de Buffard! The welcome was exceptional: the owner is truly warm and passionate. At the end of our meal, he even gave us a tour of the church located just across the street, as he has the keys. A very thoughtful gesture that demonstrates his attachment to the village and its visitors. A truly passionate person, a rare find these days. As for the food, it's a genuine local inn with generous gourmet cuisine: morels, Montbéliard sausage, and products that exude authenticity. The chef came to chat with us and explained that he makes his own charcuterie, a skill inherited from his grandfather, who was a butcher and charcutier. And it really shows: here, everything is truly homemade. As a discerning food lover, I recommend this place without hesitation. I also noticed that it's been recommended by the Guide du Routard (French travel guide) practically every year from 2006 to 2025: such consistency over nearly 20 years isn't a coincidence. We stayed in the hotel located inside the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans, and even though the inn is only about ten minutes away, it's well worth driving a few extra kilometers to enjoy quality cuisine in a warm and authentic atmosphere. A place where you eat very well and feel right at home.

We just left the Auberge de Buffard. It was after reading the reviews that we decided to drive 45 minutes to eat there. And we absolutely don't regret it, quite the opposite! The meal was simply delicious and, to top it all off, the owner took five minutes to chat and share his passion for tourism and his inn. Finally, the prices were very reasonable. Go for it!!!

I confess, it wasn't our first choice. And yet, the morel mushroom tart was delicious, and the soft-boiled egg was just as good. And the beef 😋🥰😋 And the service... And the atmosphere... Doubs, get ready (it is the Doubs, right, because the Jura isn't far away?)... Doubs, get ready, we'll be back 😋🥰😘
