We had a delicious meal here. Spring rolls, just like the ones you get in Vietnam, and fried noodles with beef strips or seafood. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. I was allowed to test for myself first whether the mango (as a dessert) was ripe enough for my taste.

We stopped in Châteauroux and ate at Chao Vietnam. It was delicious, with typical and succulent dishes. Antoine welcomed us very kindly. We highly recommend it! Excellent value for money.

I dined at Chao Vietnam a few weeks ago, and even though I rarely write reviews, this place earned one. It’s a small, family‑run restaurant — the kind where you can feel the pride in the food and the welcome. I had the pho, bún thịt nướng, and nem, all fresh and genuinely delicious. What stood out most was the atmosphere: the owner’s kids were quietly watching a learning video in the corner, and the whole place felt like a real family sharing their culture, not just a “here’s your food” transaction. Worth supporting and worth trying.

The food was delicious and well prepared and presented. The host is excellent and friendly and considerate. His wife does a fabulous job with the cooking. Great value and a wonderful night out.

Always clean and calm, the products are fresh. Every time I pass by, it reminds me of the delicious taste of things I've tried at this restaurant. I recommend it.

Arriving late without a reservation in the middle of a heatwave... we were treated to a fan... and received advice from the owner, and we were absolutely not disappointed: very generous portions and served very quickly... Thank you to them for their welcome and kindness

We had a wonderful time with Antoine, the owner, who, along with his wife, served us a delicious meal—starter, main course, and dessert were truly excellent. I highly recommend coming here; it's fantastic. It's a place where you can have a pleasant evening. I recommend it for two, three, or even five people, including families.
