The Auberge de Clairefontaine in Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle is a magnificent place! The welcome is warm, generous, and very professional, all within a bucolic and beautifully decorated setting. As for the dishes the chef prepared for us, they were simply exquisite, with flavorful notes and harmonious combinations. We also enjoyed some excellent wines (an ideal Cheverny) to accompany this delicious dinner. In short, my wife and I had an unforgettable time thanks to Chef Jean-Jacques, who worked in some of the most prestigious establishments (the Élysée Palace, Chanel) before returning to his roots. A big thank you also to our hostess Bernadette for her joie de vivre and her secret homemade cocktails made with infused rum. I highly recommend it, go for it!
