We dined at this beautiful establishment last night. My wife’s favourite restaurant ever. Having discovered this pre Covid and the beautiful village of Goult some years ago we returned only to be treated again.
It’s nestled in a side street which they close at night, Silvie ( The Proprietor) gave us an incredible meal.
Emanuel her husband in the engine room ( ex Roux stables ) delighted our pallets with a culinary explosion of formidable tastes and textures along with wonderful local fine wines.
If you want fine dining in a natural environment at the top level don’t miss this. It’s one of the Luberon jewels of eating out.

Every year, we book a table well in advance to discover the house specials on the short menu. It's a perfectly balanced menu in terms of meat and seafood. The attentive and professional service is impeccable. During the warmer months, the street is closed off, and the few tables are set up in front of the restaurant. As a side note, they offer a small glass of thyme liqueur to aid digestion at the end of the meal!

At la bartavelle it's clear that the owners care about providing an exceptional food experience and service.
We really enjoyed the service, the originality of the food, and the quality of farm-to-tabke sourced ingredients
However, in spite of all this care, we found the dishes that we ordered to be a bit lackluster in flavor and the options limited.
Please note you should book well in advance, maybe weeks, to come here.

We booked for our wedding anniversary, and what a perfect place to celebrate. It is quintessentially French, set down a small, narrow street with tables spilling out into the street. The service was friendly, un rushed, professional and helpful. And the food... delicious! So tasty. It was a fantastic experience, alongside special evening from start to finish.

A wonderful experience at this restaurant on a quiet street. It was a beautiful, warm day, and while there was no terrace, we didn't mind at all. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The menu was short and perfectly balanced.
In short, I highly recommend it. The staff is very professional. No frills. Just good, fresh food. Excellence!

La Bartavelle is a real gem in the centre of Goult, a beautiful and peaceful village in Provence. We had such a lovely evening there. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and every dish was excellent from the amuse-bouche to the dessert. You can really taste the freshness and quality of the products, and the local wine selection was great too. Definitely a place we’d come back to and highly recommend if you’re in Provence.
