If you're a foodie, you love nature, peace and quiet, and being on the banks of the Charente River, then you've found the right place. A plate full of originality, homemade bread. Thanks to a service provided in the region, we found L'Amaranthe. Thank you for this wonderful discovery in Port d'Envaux, this pretty little village.

A quiet location (on a Friday lunchtime, at least) with a breathtaking view of the Charente River. Seasonal cuisine, with a sought-after vegetarian offering. A warm welcome. A very pleasant experience (especially if the terrace is open in good weather).

Joli cadre, cuisine excellente, inventive avec des produits de qualité, le plus souvent bio, locaux et de saison, un rapport qualité prix lui aussi excellent ! On recommande vivement.

18/11/2024: Nice place where you can discover and enjoy beautiful dishes, where the products are worked and very well incorporated with each other.. Where the prices are completely reasonable given the flavor of the dishes that the chef brings out of the kitchen! Thank you for this great experience!
10/11/2024: As usual this restaurant is excellent! We have already dined there several times, and it is always a delight. The presentations of the dishes are delicious. Real know-how exists on the part of the chef, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. The service is good. The room is old (rubble and cut stones, exposed beams, etc.). In conclusion, excellent restaurant.

08/12/2024: We ate this afternoon for our wedding anniversary. Once again, we really enjoyed our meal. We are never disappointed. Still very good. The lady is the only one to serve, and she goes out of her way for everyone. I recommend this address and we will come back. Joël and Dominique 🌹
01/12/2024: We came with friends and we had a great time! The service is impeccable, discreet and attentive. The food is delicious and refined. A pleasure for the taste buds ☺️
