La Croix Blanche always provides a superb menu, admirably designed and wonderfully executed. The dishes present a serious originality prepared with great delicacy. 1 A la carte starter: farm poultry, quite dry (in any case not cooked at low temperature),
1 à la carte dish: hare à la royale: very heavy traditional sauce, you lose the taste of the hare; + hare with pdt compote, good mixture but again with little taste of the hare.
Desserts: cognac flambé soufflé: absolutely delicious; Well appreciated chocolate soufflé.
Service: good, in any case nice from the two male servers but a little too formal in my opinion
An old farm house with a cozy ambience, served by extremely kind people. The chef, previously worked at hotel Hauts de Loire, is one of those artists you only find in France. Everything was perfect and the desert soufflé outstanding
Excellent déjeuner pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Beuchelle très copieuse avec une duxelle de champignons délicieuse, mais le gratiné la dessèche. C’est un petit peu dommage.
