Auberge de La Forie sur La Forie

Excellent value for money. Very welcoming and friendly staff. I recommend it.

The setting was very pleasant and calm, but we were a little disappointed by the food: the truffade was far too greasy and overly generous, the potatoes were literally swimming in grease. It was impossible to finish, which is a shame, especially since the doggy bag costs extra. The burger wasn't cooked enough; the patty arrived practically raw inside. This is definitely something to keep in mind for pregnant women and young children!

Lunch a week ago. The set menu was generous and delicious. There were five of us, and we were told there might be a wait, especially for some who ordered à la carte. However, we were served quickly. The staff was welcoming and efficient. The desserts were excellent. It was packed on a weekday 👍 We highly recommend it.

A fantastic find! We received a very warm welcome and were incredibly lucky as we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was packed! They offered us small glasses of vegetables as an aperitif. The main courses were delicious and the desserts were divine! Excellent value for money.

A lovely restaurant where you can choose between the daily menu (for us, charcuterie, skate wing Grenobloise, and apple tart) or à la carte, which also features a special frog leg menu! The dishes are tasty and generous, the service is friendly and energetic (especially during the busy period!), and the prices are reasonable. A very good place to eat in Ambert (if not the best...).

Excellent meal, very generous portions. Just remember to book in advance.

Good food. It's best to book ahead as it gets quite busy. Drawbacks: the service was quick for taking orders and drinks, but very slow for the main course to arrive (over 40 minutes).

A very warm welcome! It was a real treat to be able to enjoy local products, with homemade dishes that were delicious and, above all, very generous! You can taste the quality and expertise in every bite. A fantastic place that I highly recommend! 👍

The food was excellent and the service was top-notch.

The burger is very good and very filling. The wait is quite short and the servers are friendly.
