The setting was lovely. In the middle of the countryside. We arrived on a very hot day and the staff had put chilled water in the room and had fans running. The staff were friendly and super efficient, nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing meal in the restaurant. Local produce used to produce lovely dishes. A wide variety of products available for breakfast. A great value option for a stopover on the way home.

Ideally located in the heart of the Brenne region, the inn is a haven of peace where we stayed with friends for eight days. We received a very warm welcome from a friendly and energetic team. Everything was done to ensure our comfort. We appreciated the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff. Thank you for this warm welcome and highly professional service.

The restaurant is ideally located on the edge of a lake, however, the bill is quite steep considering the quality and quantity served for a provincial restaurant. A real tourist trap.

I eat out often, I speak decent French, and I understand almost everything people say to me. The food was good, but it didn't justify a price more than double that of my favorite restaurant. The service was abrupt, even rude, which is why I didn't stay for coffee. No one made an effort to tell me about the daily specials, and there didn't seem to be a menu board to look at. I'd been there twice before, and my experience was different, but I won't be going back anytime soon.
Edit: In case you were planning to comment on my budget, I have no limit for decent food if it justifies the price.

Beautiful place, very warm welcome, even though we only stopped by on Sunday morning for a coffee, while the waiters were busy setting the tables, they were very pleasant.

"We chose Auberge de la Gabrière for our wedding meal and it was a magical moment. Everything was perfect, from the quality of the ingredients and the exquisite dishes to the warm and festive atmosphere that delighted all our guests.
