Auberge de la Montagne Noire sur Saissac

We stopped by randomly at lunchtime on our way back from our trip to the region, and what a wonderful surprise! The welcome was fantastic, and the food was delicious – we thoroughly enjoyed it! Go without hesitation!

An excellent restaurant in Saissac. The welcome is friendly and professional. The menu is visually appealing, everything is homemade, and the portions are generous and delicious! The wine list is minimalist but very effective, offering excellent value for money. Reservations are recommended. We will gladly return.

Excellent restaurant. Open kitchen, everything is homemade. Very warm welcome and service. Superb craft beer. We had the excellent and very generous homemade cassoulet, as well as the linguine with seared scallops – a real treat. Not forgetting the homemade dessert; my apple crumble was absolutely fantastic. If you're passing through Saissac on holiday or are from the Montagne Noire region, this is a culinary address not to be missed. We'll be back!

Efficient and prompt service, the dishes are very good and made with fresh ingredients. However, the bill is steep for a restaurant in the countryside: you can start finding restaurants in the Aude region with Parisian prices, it's ridiculous...

Passing through the area, we made a quick, impromptu stop. We found ourselves by the fireplace enjoying a meal just like our grandmothers would have cooked. We ate so deliciously that we couldn't resist dessert, even though we'd already eaten very well. A warm welcome.

The new owners and waitress were incredibly welcoming. And the meal was delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so pleasant that we stayed for another hour by the fireplace with our coffee, chatting with them. We will most likely return next time we're in the area.
