Auberge de L'abbaye sur Lavaudieu

Good, quiet restaurant. The food is good and the decor is nice.

We had a meal there while visiting the village of Lavaudieu. The portions were generous and hearty. The salad comes from the garden, the cured ham is the real deal, the meat is fantastic, and the Bleu d'Auvergne sauce is absolutely divine! The desserts are homemade, and the potatoes dipped in sauces are a real treat! The welcome was warm and friendly. Kudos to the manager who handles both the service and the cooking brilliantly! Go for it without hesitation!

The kind of place you keep in mind and share with those who appreciate good food. High-quality local products, reasonable prices, and generous portions. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner is very friendly and open to conversation. Bonus: The restaurant is located in the heart of a tiny, pedestrian-only, old village with stone houses and a small abbey. A wonderful place for a leisurely stroll after your meal. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely be going back.

A simple and welcoming inn in a charming village. We were the only guests that Monday evening and we had a great laugh and a delicious meal! And that's all thanks to Daniel. The prices are more than reasonable and the after-dinner drinks were delicious ;)
