We went to this restaurant for the first time since the change of ownership and we weren't 100% satisfied. That evening, we were excited because we had booked a champagne-themed menu in advance. When making the reservation, we asked for the minimum price for a bottle of champagne, and the woman we spoke to quoted us €47. We had barely sat down when two small bowls of lukewarm velouté, intended as an amuse-bouche, were served to us, even though we hadn't ordered anything yet. The starter: poached egg and lentils with champagne emulsion???... The egg had clearly never been poached, buried under the lentils, was runny, and the dish was lukewarm. The main course (supreme of free-range chicken) was undercooked; the meat around the bone was still pink, and there was very little champagne sauce to enjoy this promising dish. Finally, the simple dessert: whipped cream on a sponge cake (light champagne mousse???) garnished with three fresh raspberries and a few dots of blended jam coulis... Regarding the service, it was far too rushed with a few oversights (a large spoon was missing for the starter). The couple seated next to us arrived well after we did and were served well before us. There was no continuity in the service, as we were served by four different waiters... The "champagne evening" menu promised an enticing and charming evening, but this was not the case. We paid the bill, and to our great surprise, the bottle of champagne, which was priced at €47, had magically jumped to €53... We expected much better from this charming establishment, which was once renowned in the region. What a shame... It's all well and good to offer such attractive menus if the service doesn't match the promise! We sincerely hope for improvement.

A very pleasant business trip. The receptionist was particularly friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The meal at the restaurant was very well seasoned and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, a very good stay.

A magnificent inn in the pretty and peaceful village of Signy l'Abbaye. The recently renovated room was very spacious and comfortable. Impeccable bedding, a superb shower and bathroom, and tasteful decor. Breakfast was perfect, from eggs and bacon to pastries, jams, and local products. We ate at the restaurant, which had a pleasant atmosphere and high-quality (mostly local) ingredients. Excellent regional cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the lamb curry. A very good drinks menu as well.

A lovely stopover, a very friendly welcome, a very clean and pleasant hotel with lovely new and well-equipped rooms. A traditional restaurant, unfortunately not many of which exist anymore. Carefully prepared home-style cuisine with a young and very pleasant staff. We felt at home here, we'd come back and we'd be happy to share the address! See you soon
