Fantastic meal and great location, can't fault anything. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was outstanding. Everything was well presented, really tasty, and original. We will definitely be back.

J'avais déjà laisser un message met je voit qu'il a été supprimer 🤣 normal ont y a été manger cet été une table de 3 final 3 intoxication alimentaire ont avais pris de la volaille avec sa sauce et la sauce était granuleuse 😌, les couvert était dégueulasse , beaucoup d'attente entre les plats enfin bref 120€ pour être malade et finir aux urgences sa fait très chers

Excellent, original, expertly prepared, and generous cuisine. The menu changes according to seasonal produce, all served in a family atmosphere. A truly wonderful restaurant in the Charente region. I highly recommend it. Reservations are essential.

Overall, a lovely experience: good food, a charming setting, and a helpful woman who gave excellent advice on food and drinks. I'm deducting one star for value for money; I found the prices a bit high. But overall, a good experience.

Auberge Le Saint Jean

15/08/2026: We stopped by on August 15, 2026. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to have lunch at 2 pm on the shaded terrace. We appreciated the tablecloths and cloth napkins. The waitresses were very pleasant and the presentation of the dishes was lovely. We savored the heirloom tomatoes with mozzarella and tomato sorbet, the refreshing salad, and also the grilled prawns and duck breast with a delicious vegetable nest! Well done and thank you for your work!!
