Well-located restaurant in the center of Bourganeuf. The dining room is nicely decorated and very quiet!
There was an unpleasant cold draft, even though we were right next to the heater!
The waitress was unfriendly, grumpy, and huffing and puffing.
The pizza oven wasn't hot at 12:10 PM, so there was a long wait for our pizzas.
The menu was so-so, but the prices were reasonable.
The service was too slow, which is a shame.
(Arrived at 12:00 PM. They said we should leave by 1:00 PM at the latest, but we left at 1:15 PM)

Fish was good, but the potatoes were unappetizing
Tartiflette pizza: the crust was undercooked, and the potatoes were canned.
No cream base for the tartiflette pizza
Floating island: the egg white was too sweet.
A classic hotel, but excellent value for money.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. They were accommodating with early check-out times for breakfast; nothing fancy, but a satisfying breakfast.
The food was very good. My only complaint is the single bed, which isn't very comfortable for a longer stay; otherwise, the room was clean.
A wonderful discovery for an Easter meal at the Auberge de l'Âtre. Foie gras, Easter lamb, cheese, and raspberry tart were served with generosity and exceptional quality. A truly delightful experience. Bravo to Stéphanie, the guardian of culinary traditions. Marie, Jean-Michel, and Kelly 🐶
