We just bought a house in Montpon and were looking for a family-run, affordable restaurant. Mission accomplished! Excellent food, generous portions, a warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and a perfectly reasonable bill! We'll be back! This restaurant deserves to be better known!

New to the area, we went to eat at Bouillon, hearty and very good meal, pleasant welcome and service, looking forward to returning, a good place to eat.

The setting is absolutely lovely, especially when you can enjoy the very shady terrace. The service is excellent, quite fast, and always with a smile.

Excellent! Unbeatable value for money in Montpon. Today's suggestion: roast pork with tender chorizo, a real treat, served with homemade mashed potatoes. Attentive but not at all intrusive service. We discovered this restaurant. A superb terrace welcomed us, and we were delighted. However, we were disappointed with the menu. We ordered an egg mayonnaise, which had clearly been in the fridge for too long: hard-boiled with a commercial mayonnaise simply slapped on top. The steak tartare wasn't fresh; the marinated meat had turned brown and lacked any seasoning worthy of a tartare. The salad hadn't been washed, and the grains of dirt crunched between our teeth... On the other hand, the fries were very good.

Excellent! We ate outside on the lovely shaded terrace. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The meal was flawless and excellent. I highly recommend the vegetable gazpacho; I've rarely had one so good. This is a place worth knowing about.

The restaurant's facade is unassuming, yet the first pleasant surprise is the charming terrace it conceals, sheltered from the sun's rays. The second pleasant surprise, and certainly not the least, is the explosion of flavors that will make your taste buds dance! These are traditional dishes, certainly, but prepared with care and balance: refined, generous, and above all, divinely delicious! I loved the thin tomato tart, crispy and fragrant, the caramelized and melt-in-your-mouth pork ribs, and the cheese plate, which was the perfect finishing touch. My partner enjoyed his charcuterie platter, savored an andouillette sausage, and finished with a bowl of the last strawberries of the season with Chantilly cream. And what can I say about the wine we chose, a Montagne Saint-Emilion, sourced directly from the producer, except that we loved it so much we went to buy a case at the winery (since it's produced just 30 minutes away). Go for it without hesitation, but make sure you have an empty stomach, otherwise you might not be able to finish their generous portions! The final pleasant surprise is the bill, which is also quite reasonable, offering a quality-to-price ratio you'll rarely find in a restaurant: unbeatable! One last thing: it's best to book ahead, as the tables fill up quickly! We loved it; for us, it was the best restaurant we ate at in the region (during a whole week in the Dordogne). We will definitely be back! Thank you for this delightful experience.
