We had lunch this Friday 13/09 in this magical place with its decoration and interior architecture, not to mention the SUBLIME dishes that we tasted, from the starter to the dessert, everything had a flavor to die for...EXCELLENT 👍 👍

Very good food, we were a couple and we had a great time eating under the plant pergola of the inn. After an aperitif with rosé champagne accompanied by various appetizers, we tasted as a starter a slice of foie gras with vanilla (a surprising combination that is worth the experience) prepared at home for one and an eggplant with marjoram and hot goat's cheese for the other. For main course, a duck breast and its chanterelle sauce (to die for!) and a sea bass fillet and its orange butter. Offered by the restaurant, a plate of 5 cheeses distributed on a slate tray, each bringing its own set of flavors.
Finally for dessert, a chocolate marquise with tonka bean and vanilla cream (so good!) and a rhubarb soup with lemon basil sorbet (delicious!)
Everything was washed down by a Burgundy Mercurey 2022 from Domaine Faiveley, which despite its young age fulfilled all its promises.
Bravo to the chef and the smiling and friendly waitresses!

Un peu en dehors d’Ussel, un restaurant un peu difficile a trouver mais quel plaisir après ! Nous avons mangé en extérieur sous la tonnelle . Vaiselle originale dépareillée , serveuses aux petits soins pour expliquer la carte car tout donne envie … on recommande les morilles en entrée ! De la grande cuisine et les ris de veau . Les desserts étaient parfaits également !

A discovery in a timeless setting. A treat for the taste buds, an endless pleasure.
From appetizers to desserts, everything was perfect.
Vanilla foie gras, emperor's morels, sea bass fillet, sweetbreads, cheeses (omitted in photo), rhubarb soup with red fruits and crispy praline, mango and passion fruit sorbet.
We will come back on our next visit to the region.

Très bonne table et bon accueil.
Le lieu est insolite, on se retrouve dans le passé avec de la vaisselle fine et des couverts en argent.
A very original setting and gourmet cuisine!
Value for money never equaled! A nugget!
