Nice little guesthouse that I visited on my trip through France. Stayed in one of their rooms which has the necessary. Simple and nice decor. The restaurant which is located one floor above is beautifully decorated in an old farm building with a boat-shaped roof and a large open fireplace. Ate here is a three-course menu. Had fois gras for starters. Salmon with lobster sauce as a main course. Dessert. Nougat ice cream. Beautifully presented and tasty. Highly recommended as a good place to visit if you come to the area..b

Are you traveling between Bordeaux and Lyon and looking for a place to stop? This is the place to stay, just a stone's throw from the exit towards Ussel, in a charming rural setting... the room is very simple, but if it's very hot, you'll appreciate its ground-floor location as much as we did... but it's especially worth it for the delicious meal, from appetizer to dessert, served with kindness on a simple, well-shaded terrace... morels, sweetbreads, julienne, rhubarb soup... gourmet! A surprising, well-hidden gem that's well worth the detour... Top-notch cuisine and friendly service. A great find in the heart of the Corrèze region.

We go to L'Empereur every year. We are never disappointed, neither by the quality of the food (high-quality and creative), nor by the service (discreet and efficient), nor by the setting (a quiet, shaded terrace). Worth the trip.
