Auberge de Marville Restaurant sur Marville

Passing through Marville where we stayed at the inn in the new annex clean room impeccable service unlimited breakfast even for the pickiest eaters 😍

We had dinner at the Marville inn on November 1 and had breakfast but we slept in a village house. The meal was excellent with fresh local produce, cabbage soup, homemade pâté en croute, guinea fowl with mushrooms. The welcome was also excellent and the owner even served a customer who arrived around 2 p.m. The breakfast was also excellent with everything you need in the morning, good bread, croissants, ham, cheese, fruit juice... We are delighted (there were three of us including a child) to have all enjoyed ourselves.

Nice spot on a nice square. However, €25 for 2 coffees + a piece of pear pie is a very high price, it was not that special.

We came to this hostel because we were in a birthday party not far away. I am the first to support small businesses and to understand the commitment that this requires. We paid 110.50 euros for 2 adults and a 3 year old child, which remains a significant budget, at this level we expect adequate service, and this was not the case. The room is very dated, the towels are very rough because they have been used for years and years, the bathroom is in its old state, which is not annoying, but it is less pleasant when it is not There is no more soap and the bathtub faucet is leaking, which means you have to take a foot bath at the same time as the shower. The hotel is super busy, there is really everything, everywhere, and nothing related to a hotel. We learned while there that breakfast was not in the hotel but served in the street behind. So yes I saw a response from the manager who said that walking 100m was not death. No it's not death but in the rain with a 3 year old child it's less pleasant, but above all the least we can do is to warn people, and so we agree or not. Breakfast was not too expensive but fortunately.....the products offered were not of high quality. Ok we are not in a 5 star hotel, but putting the fruit juices in carafes, not leaving empty cartons, empty thermoses lying around, putting the products on nice plates, would cost absolutely nothing but would give a different result. Once again it is important to have this type of small hotel in the countryside but not at this price for the service offered, it does not work.
