Having been there several times with my family, I can say it's really not bad, very good value for money, I recommend it.

Friendly atmosphere. Friendly owner. Complimentary homemade appetizers. Set menu for 30 euros: starter, main course, and dessert with 5 choices, all homemade. Quick service. Highly recommended.

Grandma's cooking in an authentic Valois atmosphere! Located at the crossroads of the two immense forests of Compiegne and Retz, the Auberge de la Vallée is a comforting stopover. I often walked past it until the day I finally tried it! And what a moment!! Fireplace, delicate service, tasty dishes... Everything is homemade! I enjoyed lingering, chatting with the other customers, then the owner, and finished lunch on the sunny terrace in the middle of October. An enchanting interlude!
