13/05/2026: 4 stars because I was disappointed! Pork loin with reduced jus on mashed potatoes and 3 vegetable chips. The presentation was good: a nice thick piece of pork loin, about 25/30mm, boneless, a lovely pink color, and a little jus poured around the edge. In short, my eyes were eager to taste it, and that's where everything went wrong! The meat was barely lukewarm. What a disappointment! I got up, plate in hand, went to the waiter, and explained why I wanted to return it. A moment later, my dish was served, and I was very disappointed. The plate was a plain pork chop, bone-in, half as thick, slightly charred around the edges, and placed halfway on top of the mashed potatoes, all swimming in sauce! But the meat was hot. For dessert, the waiter offered us two coffees. When we were leaving to pay the bill, we encountered the chef, who apologized after I expressed my dissatisfaction. He told us the coffees were complimentary, and I told him I wouldn't leave a negative review. But when I got home, I remembered that the people behind us, who had been served after us—the woman who was right in my line of sight—had a nice-looking pork chop on her plate, and I still ended up paying €32 in total. So I figured if Google asked for my opinion, I'd give it. Some might say I should have sent the plate back; perhaps. It's a shame, the experience had started so well.

14/05/2026: Since the restaurant had a menu, I read it of course and saw the tradition of passing down recipes from father to son. This tradition is well respected because the dish was delicious. I had couscous with meatballs, and the dish was delicious. As usual, for dessert I had a small tea with a small plate of oriental cake—just one piece, but delicious. I recommend it. The waiter was very kind, the atmosphere perfect. However, I found the service quick and smooth, but a little bit slow. I recommend it and will return without hesitation.

19/05/2026: The dishes offered are exquisite, made with high-quality ingredients sourced exclusively from local producers in the Oise region, including herbs grown on their own farms. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. While weekday lunch prices are certainly more affordable than weekend prices, it's well worth treating yourself occasionally.

07/05/2026: A romantic lunch today. I was already somewhat familiar with the place, but we went back—the pizzas were excellent! They were really delicious and large! The dining room is very cozy (upstairs), as there's another room downstairs, but I didn't see it. My only slight complaint is that we were seated at the back; a table closer to the bay window would have been nicer. But I recommend it 100%! If you're craving a good pizza, this is the restaurant! Thanks to the very welcoming team.

23/05/2026: Hello, this is my second visit. Truly, hats off to you for the excellent cuisine, congratulations! One minor point: there were two of us, my mother and I, seated at the table near the entrance, next to the high table. It's very strange to have a view of other customers' feet when eating at the lower table, especially since we were unlucky because it was the day you had regulars, including a gentleman who spoke very loudly—I now know his whole life story…—and your waiter was often at their table with his back to us, so we often had a view of his backside. 😂🤣 That table was peculiar.

23/05/2026: Discovered this very well-located establishment. The food is excellent and the shaded terrace is ideal. I'll enjoy the charming interior when the weather is less kind.

28/12/2025: A truly divine experience: everything was absolutely perfect, from the amuse-bouches to the desserts—everything was subtle and creative. What a joy to savor seasonal vegetables, especially those from the garden! The seasonings were delicate and unexpected. The staff were charming, attentive, and always smiling. We felt completely at ease. The setting is lovely, and we truly savored the moment. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture on our son's birthday. We will continue to celebrate our special occasions at L'Orée de la Forêt. Our sincere congratulations to the chef and his team. A big thank you to everyone. Best regards.

28/12/2025: An exceptional experience. The staff is pleasant, smiling, very welcoming, and attentive. On the culinary front, wonderful discoveries, beautiful flavors, and finesse. The setting is intimate, cozy, and truly delightful. We wholeheartedly recommend L'Orée du Bois.

19/04/2026: We were disappointed by the lasagna, which was dry, and the Genoise cake was a bit small. This is the first time this has happened.

19/04/2026: This restaurant offers refined cuisine made with fresh ingredients. On a Saturday dinner, the choices on the €48 set menu and the à la carte menu are appealing. They are limited but demonstrate that the dishes are prepared daily. The wine list is comprehensive and caters to all budgets. The quality of the meal and the impeccable service make the value for money excellent. A restaurant worth discovering and recommending.

04/04/2026: Delivery order, very disappointed. The sushi didn't even hold its shape; it arrived practically hot. I'm talking about the sushi itself—a thin, almost transparent slice of salmon. That's it for me. The bill was €70.60, and on the phone, there was no attempt at compensation. Before, with delivery, you got a bag of chips and even a small drink. Now, nothing. What can I say?

I was just taken in with the whole restaurant, the waiter and the great food, I managed to take 1 picture of my Risotto and that was it 😞 Very well priced as I had a starter and a main + wine for what it would cost for one main meal out at home 👍
