Having been to the area regularly, I had never been to this restaurant. What a mistake not to have gone sooner! The food is perfect: flavorful, indulgent, and just right. The lemon sole with its mashed potatoes... to die for! The same goes for the service: discreet, quick, and efficient. And finally, the prices are more than reasonable! A flawless experience.
A small country restaurant still finding its identity, somewhere between authenticity and elegance. The food is good; perhaps their strong point could be to expand their drinks menu?
A great experience at L’Auberge where we had dinner with the starter, main course and dessert menu and it was really delicious, the service was excellent 🙂 We loved it!
Excellent as always. Tasty and generous Cantal cuisine, made with fresh ingredients. High-quality and plentiful dishes, pleasant and efficient service. It's easy to see why so many people love it!
Having lunch before boarding the Gentiane Express tourist train, we enjoyed the cuisine, which we felt represented the local terroir well.
The portions are ample, and honestly, you won't leave hungry.
This is the kind of establishment we enjoy.
26/08/2024: Bonne table en moyenne mais trop chère vu les quantités proposées
J'ai pris le menu à 27 € avec pounti quelques feuilles de salades et trois bouts de tomates....
Plat principal : truite aux lentilles...idem je ne m'attendais pas à pouvoir compter les lentilles et une cuillère de purée....
Par contre la patronne a été très généreuse voire trop pour les portions de fromage ....peut être pour compenser la défaillance du reste .
Quant au dessert sans prétention et sans fioritures:
Un biscuit avec quelques framboises et une crème aux amandes qui ne me laissera pas un souvenir impérissable.
En conclusion tarif prohibitif pour un menu assez banal
Point positif : salle très agréable et le service très bien organisé

Dans les ancients guides on disait: vaut le détour, c’est applicable à ce resto de tradition française.
La cuisson du poisson (truite) atteste de la compétence du chef.
