I wasn't satisfied with the welcome. I'll explain the context: It's my partner's birthday, and she absolutely wants to celebrate the day by going to a restaurant. Unfortunately, she finishes work at 7:00 p.m. To mark the occasion, I booked the latest time slot in advance, which was 7:45 p.m. Well, I already find it unacceptable that some restaurants in Cahors no longer accept customers after 7:45 p.m. for a town of about 25,000 inhabitants. We arrive at the restaurant at 7:55 p.m. (so exactly 10 minutes late. Obviously, if I had been 15 minutes or more late, I would never have taken the time to write this review because I know I would have been in the wrong). The waitress greets us, and I say, "Good evening, madam, I have a reservation for two people." "Yeah, at 7:45 p.m.!" She said, sounding annoyed. From what I understood, she was the restaurant manager 👍. I felt bad because she responded like that in front of people I knew who were on the terrace at the time... Then, she showed us our table inside, saying, "Sit down and choose your dish quickly, we don't serve after 8 p.m.", still sounding annoyed and stressed. So, under pressure, we quickly chose our dishes without really looking at the menu in detail. So, of course, what was supposed to be a joyful moment celebrating a birthday turned into an awkward moment where no one dared to speak... I still want to point out that the food is good, and the chef came to our table twice to chat with us, to see if it was good, and he even managed to make us smile and laugh (he does that usually, and it's very appreciated). In the end, we were the last to arrive at the restaurant but we left first (there were tables of 10 next to us that didn't seem ready to leave, so I wondered why the waitress/owner was so rude? In the end, I wanted to make a special point of celebrating a birthday, something that's supposed to be a joyful affair, but our spirits were depressed.

Finally, a real restaurant, with excellent, local cuisine, and all the true Lot specialties. Affordable prices. Warm welcome. Not to be missed.
