Pleasant family atmosphere, very good service, fast, but very noisy next to a table of 12 seniors last Thursday... as if they were all alone. I myself am 77 years old but also have to shout to communicate with my family.... I hope it's not the same thing every Thursday because I vomit when I come back.

In Cahors for the day with the children and after wandering around the old town looking for a restaurant, not having a specific goal, we came across the Auberge des Gabares quite by chance near the Lot. Pleasant surprise, excellent welcome by the couple and special mention to the Chef alone in the kitchen who offers local family cuisine with a refinement that is matched only by the quality of what is presented without fuss and how succulent. The tripe and veal head with gribiche sauce were perfect with an excellent choice of desserts to finish after the cheese. I will come back, that’s for sure!

Discovery of this very nice little restaurant. a complete weekday menu for €18 with starter, main course, cheese and dessert. It's hard to do better... everything is excellent, the tender meats, the homemade desserts. In short, our grandmothers' cooking the way we like it. The service is cordial and efficient. Excellent value. To recommend without hesitation. We will come back for sure. Reservation recommended due to small capacity
