A very nice restaurant with a magnificent terrace. It's best suited to the summer months as it has a large terrace and the road leading there is quite winding. The dishes are generous and delicious. The value for money is excellent. Reservations are highly recommended, and remember to bring your checkbook as they don't accept cards 😩

Overall, we had a good time. However, they don't accept cards, so you need to bring cash or a check (it's best to be aware of this beforehand for a party of six). The XXL steak was very good, but you couldn't choose how you wanted it cooked—I've never seen that before! It's only cooked medium, that's all. And lastly, it was €3 extra for potato gratin (baked in "Montbrison" oven), but I'm sure it was baked in Ambert (yellower than Montbrison and more likely to be moldy), and much cheaper per kilo. The potato gratin itself was good, but these three small things really detracted from the experience. It's a shame, a 40-minute drive for that. We had a better memory of it... more profit, I think... It's a pity because at the small Relais, with the same owner, it's much more welcoming and the value for money is excellent.

It might be wise to inform your customers over the phone that payment by credit card is not possible.

Excellent restaurant; the quality, quantity, price, and friendly atmosphere were all superb. Great service. Be sure to book in advance, and parking is difficult. I highly recommend it.
