The dishes on the tasting menu are of exceptional quality, served with brilliant timing, all at a very reasonable price considering the quality of the experience. We wish these dedicated professionals all the best as they continue to resist the prevailing nihilism fueled by the French tax system. France should be proud of these outstanding restaurateurs rather than trying to stifle them with red tape. Lunch this afternoon for our shared anniversary and my 50th birthday. Monsieur wanted to innovate and finally discover the cuisine of this inn, which we've been hearing about for many years. Laurent's very pleasant and attentive welcome was the first sign of what was sure to be a pleasant time. The understated and chic dining room with its crackling fireplace... a lunch in a cozy atmosphere. Comfortably seated, we enjoyed the very refined amuse-bouche offered and our appetizers. Although the staff today was limited, it was no less efficient. Laurent gave us time to explore the menu and served the dishes at a pleasant pace (that's the difference with a typical establishment; we were neither rushed nor left waiting; everything was very well orchestrated). I won't say more about the dishes we savored, without any fault of taste. Everything was perfect... the flavors, etc. Everything is in the photos.
