Thanks to a gift certificate we received, we ended up at this restaurant. It's a very cozy place, tucked away in the middle of nowhere in a small village, but it's well worth the trip. We had the €50 set menu; the atmosphere was great, and the service was perfect. Today's menu featured seafood, and the fish was exquisite. We don't live near the restaurant, but we'll definitely have the opportunity to go back.

This wonderful restaurant is a fantastic find. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, a blend of modern touches within a historic building. The terrace is airy and pleasant. The service is efficient. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious. They've clearly put in the work, and the ingredients are exceptional. We opted for the eight-course tasting menu. The portions were very generous. And best of all, the restaurant offers a complimentary "pre-starter" (in addition to an amuse-bouche), which is like an extra course. If you order an aperitif, you'll also have the pleasure of enjoying three fantastic appetizers. I highly recommend this restaurant; it's the best value for money in the region! We will gladly return.

We had a wonderful evening at the Auberge du 12ème Siècle. In an idyllic setting, you really feel like you're in another world. The staff is very professional. The food is top-notch. The wines that accompany the dishes are exceptional. A big thank you to the Chef. It was sublime. I highly recommend this establishment without hesitation. Best of luck and see you soon!

A very pleasant evening shared with friends; Excellent food, all the dishes, breads, and appetizers. Service was a little hesitant. As for the decor, it was too rustic; perhaps tablecloths and more comfortable, modern chairs would have been nice. The entrance was a bit cold if you were seated near the door, but we won't be returning too often, as it is a Michelin-starred restaurant with correspondingly high prices. 😉

A true gem. The chef creates fabulous dishes. You think the next one can't possibly be as good... but it is! It's even better. Superb service. No pretension. Just right. Probably the best 1-Michelin-starred restaurant my wife and I have ever been to.

Fantastic fine dining experience, 1 michelin star well deserved, some dishes fantastic, other slightly underwhelming. In summa still very much worth it. The wine pairing was not very expensive, but also not completly convincing, Sommeliers at the table were at times a bit wondering... But great atmosphere, very attentive and kind service team. We came in a group of six people and everyone was in the end very happy.

An excellent lunch at this lovely inn, warmed by a very pleasant wood fire on this rainy Saturday. Everything was perfect, from the amuse-bouches to the delicious Grand Marnier soufflé, both in terms of the food and the service. I definitely plan to return to enjoy the beautiful terrace when the weather is nicer.

Truly excellent: refined without being pretentious, delicate dishes, generous portions on the menu, innovative creations showcasing seasonal produce… Discreet and attentive service. Cozy setting. It was a wonderful experience.

It lived up to our expectations. The team was incredibly attentive. The seasonings were spot-on, the scallops were cooked to perfection (my daughter doesn't usually like them, but the chef found a solution with his leek cooked in hazelnut butter with sturgeon and caviar – she loved it). The carrot tart with turmeric cream was delicious, the cod was cooked to perfection in a shellfish broth, the pithiviers of mallard and partridge with its peppercorn sauce was superb, and the soufflé was simply divine. The cuisine was refined, from the amuse-bouches to the dessert, including the heavenly madeleines to accompany our coffee. It richly deserves its Michelin star. Congratulations to your entire team. We will be back.

20/09/2024: si vous avez un portefeuille bien garni ,vous pouvez venir ici on ne choisit pas ses plats mais c'est bon , le vin est cher ,le service efficace ,le calme total ..Les serveurs ne sont pas trés aimables .On n'y reviendra pas!

04/10/2024: Si le restaurant porte l’enseigne Auberge du douzième siècle, et l’un de ses menus a été nommé Balzac, c’est bien une cuisine du 21 ème siècle que propose le chef Kevin Gardien dans une salle chaleureuse, à la fois rustique et moderne. Cuisine de terroir essentiellement, cuisine de saison, alliance subtile de textures dans des assiettes magnifiquement dressées. Sachez le, à Saché le grand romancier de la Comédie humaine serait sans doute très honoré de voir son nom associé à des plats divins comme cette truite de Langeais courges et beurre blanc au safran de Cheillé, ce lapin de chez Gabriel Simons et sauce dans l’esprit d’une paëlla ou encore cette poire de Thilouze, miel, sarrazin, le tout accompagné d’un superbe chinon blanc du Domaine Paget à Rivarennes ! Accueil, service, conseils de la sommelière, ambiance de la salle, festival de saveurs… un pur moment de bonheur !
20/07/2024: Un excellent moment de gastronomie: tout est en qualité, de l'accueil au départ. Menu recherché, mets de qualité, présentation originale... On se laisse aller dans l'exceptionnel.
