Auberge du Camp Romain sur Chassey-Le-Camp

What a view from this hotel! It’s on top of the hill, tucked away. Feels a bit like entering a bygone era, when the hotel was glamorous in its day. Staff was professional and welcoming. Some English spoken. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and had delicious food and drink. Our room had a private balcony looking out the back of the hotel, which was still a charming and private landscape. Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable, although the room and the hotel did seem a bit tired and in need of a refresh (maybe their is part of the charm?). The was the first hotel we encountered on our trip that gave us a sheet and blanket (vs a duvet)) which was appreciated, since I sleep hot. Our room did not have AC, and there was no real good option to ventilate the room, since the room had no window and only a patio door. If had we opted to sleep with the door open, there was no way to secure the room and someone could’ve walked right in from the street. There was a window in the bathroom, but it was broken and did not open. There was some mould in the shower, which would’ve easily been taken care of with some bleach. The pool was tepid, and the Jacuzzi was cold. The indoor pool area was quiet and peaceful, and had quiet please signs. It would not have been a good place for children. There is an outdoor pool, but it was closed due to colder weather when we were there. Overall, this is an interesting and quirky hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Worth the trip!

Perfect for a quiet stay. Close to Beaune and many tourist sites.

The Camp Romain inn offers you a beautiful view of the valley from its terrace. On it you can taste well-made local dishes for a very reasonable price. The wine list is too! On the other hand, the rooms are in their original state and a renovation / re-modernization of the place would not be superfluous. The quality of the bedding is not very good but the rooms are quiet. A beautiful place but which requires a lot of renovation work

The hotel is full of pleasant surprises and has two large swimming pools. The location is outstanding set high up the side of a valley with a lovely terrace serving dinner and breakfast. Dinner was very good indeed, we both had Cod. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly. They could not have been nicer even suggesting we took a shower before coming down for a late lunch. The hotel also has an accessible garage to store bicycles.

This is our second visit to the Auberge du Camp Romain. Always so peaceful, calm with attentive service The food is very good and the staff very friendly. We will come back a third time!!

Superb family weekend nestled in lush greenery, special mention to the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi!

Well located hotel with great view, restaurant and very friendly staff, only small downside swimming pool and jacuzzi water a little tight, room needs refreshing bathroom (toilet not clean) but it remains a very pleasant place which has a certain charm
