A charming, unusual place where the food is good, despite the slightly high prices. Very pleasant staff.

A simple, authentic inn with excellent value for money. The Auberge du Chêne is an accommodation where the name itself tells you what to expect: a simple, traditional inn in an older building. Therefore, you shouldn't expect the standards of a modern 3-star hotel. For me, as a motorcyclist, there was a major plus: behind the building is a free, secure parking area where I could easily park my motorcycle. The evening meal, prepared by the owners themselves, was a particular highlight. Simple, down-to-earth, and very pleasant. The owner is exceptionally friendly, communicative, and enjoys taking time for his guests. He is supported by his very friendly wife, who attentively looks after the guests. Breakfast is also perfectly adequate – though again rather basic and without any frills. Of course, the old building shows its age. Here and there are the minor quirks that come with such a building, and you shouldn't expect the same level of cleanliness as a modern hotel. This is something you should know before booking. My conclusion: If you're looking for simple, authentic, and affordable accommodation and don't expect any special amenities, this is a good place to stay. The warm and welcoming hosts, the good dinner, and the free, secure parking for motorcycles make the Auberge quite attractive for travelers passing through. For what's offered, the price-performance ratio is very good – you just need to arrive with the right expectations.

Excellent food and impeccable service! But what a shame to find ourselves surrounded by tables occupied by chain smokers! It cut our meal short! We left quickly.
