The dishes were simple and quite good, but nothing special. The dining room was very cramped, with tables crammed together, making the experience rather unpleasant. The wait was interminable: nearly three hours for a starter, main course, and dessert. Overall, a disappointing experience despite the decent food.

We had a very good meal, the meat was cooked over a wood fire right in front of us, the welcome was friendly, and the setting was pleasant. Reservations are recommended.

We came to this inn for lunch and were delighted. The place is warm and welcoming. The staff is efficient. The meat cooked over a wood fire was excellent. It's been a long time since I've eaten meat of this quality; the cooking was perfectly executed. The still-frozen lake was simply magnificent. We highly recommend it.

A charming restaurant with good food and even better views.

The restaurant is really beautiful with a lovely welcome, but unfortunately we were disappointed by the food. We had booked a meal for 12 pm but were served at 2 pm... the dining room is small, but the view is fantastic.

The place speaks for itself. The inn, the staff, and the owners are all fantastic—friendly, well-organized, with a very reasonable wait for service. The food is excellent: wood-fired meat, fish, fondue—there's something for everyone. They also have a good wine list and reasonable prices. Note: I recommend making a reservation.

Like every year, on December 14th, we came to celebrate my dad's birthday. There were only two of us, but the setting, the food, the atmosphere, and the arrival of the cake made this moment truly magical for my elderly dad, and I am so grateful to the entire team for allowing us to experience this emotional moment in such a wonderful setting. I'm a salesman, covering 16 departments, hotels, and restaurants—I do a lot of that. But what an incredible place!! Of course, there's the setting, which I didn't get to fully appreciate because I arrived at night. But the inn itself: a fantastic welcome, a fantastic room, fantastic staff, and the restaurant—wow! My only regret is not having looked at the menu beforehand and having opted for the €18 set menu, which was very good, but how I would have loved to have a fondue or some meat cooked in the fireplace. That'll be for next time! To all the angry comments from people who know nothing about the restaurant world: if this place wasn't worth the trip, given its location, it would be closed! Auberge du Lac Genin, don't change a thing!!
