Great restaurant, the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff is very professional and accommodating. We had a delicious meal and the ambiance with the fireplace and the view of the lake is truly extraordinary!

We had lunch at the Auberge du Lac Genin. The setting is very pleasant, and the wood-fired cooking is a real plus. However, the wait was quite long, both for the aperitif and the meal. On a very hot day, this was particularly unpleasant. Aside from the wait, we had a good time. With faster service, the experience would have been truly enjoyable. Prices are a bit high; for example, two beers cost €5.

The crepes were good, it's a shame they were served cold. However, removing the parasols when the sun was still shining was a major negative point!

A lovely spot to enjoy an ice cream or a drink on the terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. I haven't tried the food yet, but I've heard good things. I'll save that for next time.

We've been staying at this hostel for several years now. We've been there with our children many times. Up until now, we had no complaints. But this weekend was dreadful. We booked a room overlooking the lake a year ago, then confirmed at the beginning of the year, only to find ourselves in a room facing the mountains. A very unpleasant, haughty young woman told us about a cancellation, then about a reservation made two years ago by another family, without even apologizing for the misunderstanding (which was undoubtedly our fault), and this all in front of the owner, who said nothing. Add to that a mistake in the change given at the bar, a forgotten drink at the restaurant, and a breakfast with croissants that were barely croissants... at €10 a pop! Frankly, all of this wouldn't have mattered much if there had been a proper welcome, which there wasn't. The food is still good, and the setting is beautiful, but that's not their fault. A stay planned for a year was ruined by a poor welcome and a lack of professionalism. Too many people; it detracts from the expectations of this beautiful place: calm and serenity.

We had dinner here in the evening and were absolutely delighted. The hosts are a family, and the mother and her husband, in particular, were incredibly welcoming. The meat is prepared right over the open fireplace in the dining room, which creates a truly cozy and special atmosphere. You can immediately tell that the food and service here are done with a lot of love. If you're traveling in the area, a stop here is definitely recommended. Campers can also stay overnight in the parking lot for a small fee.

The restaurant has a beautiful location overlooking Lake Genin. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are reasonable for healthy food.

Lake Genin, second day of the Ain Jura rally. Great spot. Campervan pitch for the night: €8. Free drinking water and black water disposal. No electrical hook-up. If you want to eat at the inn, your overnight stay is free. We highly recommend this place. A fantastic team and a warm welcome. See you next year.
