Auberge du Lièvre sur Bruille-Saint-Amand

Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c’est! Les plats sont plutôt bons mais pas travaillés au vu du prix. 34 euros un filet de bœuf frite salade ça me parait exagéré surtout quand on voit le tout petit morceau de viande qui nous a été servi. Les accompagnements sont plus que basique. A ce prix là des petits légumes rôties auraient été les bienvenus! Il y a des restaurant dans les coins qui pratiquent des prix plus bas pour une meilleure qualité. Bref première et dernière fois pour nous. Autrement bon service et cadre un peu trop vieillot

Very good cuisine. Good fresh produce. However this Sunday, August 18, very long service, lots of waiting. Arriving at 1 p.m. it took 25 minutes to take the order for the aperitif. We already had the fish rolls on the table with no appetizers served! Then more waiting for the dishes. The dishes finished still waiting for the dessert menu which we had to pick up from the bar! We left at 4:30 p.m. to order an appetizer and a dessert. The cook kindly came to explain to us the cause of the delay. Which I can understand. However there are perhaps points on the service to be seen. Although the waitress who served us at the end was very pleasant. Too bad because we enjoyed the dishes.

We stopped at the Auberge du Lièvre during a dozen kilometer hike in the Saint Amant forest, a very pleasant and gastronomic break. Everything was perfect! Pay attention to reservations via the Google site which sends an automatic reservation message taken into account even though the restaurant does not receive the request. Luckily, when we arrived thinking we had reserved, the restaurant owner found us a table even though everything was reserved.

Short stop during a walk at this hostel What a magnificent place, in the heart of the forest of St Amand les Eaux. What calm. Very nice and pleasant waitress. The next time I go there, it's for a meal.
