We had a wonderful time; the place is truly lovely and we ate very well. I highly recommend the Auberge du Prunelli.

I ordered a mushroom tart as a starter. It was served completely cold. Surprised, I ate it reluctantly and without enjoyment, assuming it was the chef's choice. After all, the chef is the master of the kitchen and does what he wants. Finally, having second thoughts, I called the waiter over to ask if it was a hot or cold starter. It turned out to be a hot one. Clearly, they had forgotten to reheat it in the kitchen. The waiter told me he would pass it on to the chef. Then nothing more. No explanation, no apology, no gesture of goodwill. There were four of us. The other diners said they had a good meal. For me, it was my birthday dinner. It was a disaster, and it will remain a bad memory. I won't be back.
