Auberge du Prunelli sur Bastelicaccia

The location is lovely, right on the banks of the Prunelli River, but unfortunately, you can hear the road on the other side. The wine list is incredibly extensive, so much so that we didn't know what to choose, especially since the prices are already prohibitive, just like the food. The kid goat was good, as were the tuna tartare and the dessert, but that doesn't justify the exorbitant prices.

Very pleasantly surprised for a last-minute booking. Welcoming and professional staff. Excellent cuisine. Bucolic setting. A good place at a good price.

Delicious dishes from appetizer to dessert, everything is homemade, and the portions are very generous! The staff is lovely, and we even had the pleasant surprise of having three Corsican guitarists/singers perform during dinner, which made the experience truly unique 😊

Nestled in Bastellicaccia, overlooking the Prunelli River, the Auberge du Prunelli is one of those places that embodies the soul of Corsica. You can spot it at night, by its illuminated facade and its name that shines simply. You push open its heavy wooden door—the one from 1957—and you immediately understand: here, you're at home. You'll find an authentic setting that you'll love, one that doesn't try too hard. A warm room of stone and raw wood, with its large fireplace, wine cellar, solid wood tables, and oil lamps on the tables. The magnificent terrace suspended above the river takes over, with the sound of flowing water. A genuine place, one that has stood the test of time. But above all, you'll find heartfelt cuisine. Traditional Corsican cuisine that respects the ingredients and those who produce them. Here, the region's producers are the stars of the plate. It all begins with a beautiful platter of artisanal charcuterie—lonzu, coppa, and sausage from our local shepherds—served in generous portions, followed by a remarkably delicate tartare, or perhaps the tender and fragrant stuffed eggplants. The local meats are prepared with respect and precision. And when it comes time for dessert, homemade of course, the experience becomes perfect. These generous profiteroles, light as a cloud, drizzled with flowing hot chocolate... A sweet treat that elegantly concludes this delightful moment. We finish with a small glass of Mhyrte, placed on the white tablecloth next to a bouquet of dried immortelle, the light dimmed, the glass of red wine still glistening. We chat. We linger. We don't want to leave. A warm welcome, a well-chosen wine cellar, honest cuisine, a place with soul.

An exceptional place... the starter, main course, and dessert were outstanding... a bit more expensive than some others, but you'll understand why once your plate arrives, and you won't regret it... they're not ripping you off! Delicious! The only slight drawback is the somewhat unfriendly waiters who aren't local and struggle to advise customers... otherwise, nothing to complain about! Go without hesitation... for all budgets...
