Auberge du Sapt sur Saint-Genest-Malifaux

Superb place, overlooking the dam. The room is warm and the service efficient, even a little too efficient. There were around twenty of us and we had pre-ordered our menus. People who had not taken the formula with aperitif and glass of wine were not offered an aperitif. The starters arrived almost at the same time as the few aperitifs. Impossible to know which wine was served with the formulas. The dish was OK but the fish was way overcooked and the fries were very greasy. The desserts were very good. Our table was cleared before everyone had gotten up to leave. Yes, the restaurant closes at 3:30 p.m. and the hours are strict. A multitude of little things to improve in the mutual interest of customers and young owners which could make this place a place worthy of its setting.

We had a great time. The welcome is friendly. The cuisine is excellent and the warm setting. You can go there, you will not be disappointed.

One of the best addresses in the region. The welcome is always perfect and the cuisine is excellent, based on fresh produce and the menu changes with the seasons. The setting, by the lake, is sublime. Since the change of ownership it’s really been night and day! Thanks for everything.

Nous venons régulièrement à l'Auberge du Sapt. L'accueil est toujours excellent , les plats de très bonne qualité à base de produits frais, la carte évolue au fil des saisons et le cadre est sublime. A très vite et merci!!

Magnificent restaurant! The dishes are of good quality, homemade. The service is friendly and friendly. There were 9 of us, we had a good range of dish options and everyone was happy. In short, very interesting value for money. The setting is also sublime. Special mention to the owner who was able to manage a table of difficult retirees with patience and firmness. Decent food, decent price, good wine list, pleasant service but the boss is too unpleasant for my taste even if he has the impression not to be. We were greeted with a reproach and not with a hello or a welcome, which seems to me to be the minimum when arriving in a restaurant. The reason is that we arrived at 4 instead of 5 and therefore potentially blocked a table (which otherwise remained empty).

Très belle terrasse avec vue sur le lac, superbe salle et emplacement très calme. La carte est simple ce qui est un excellent critère du fait maison. Tout était très bon et service impeccable. Une adresse à ne pas manquer.
