Very clean. original decor.
A little extra color wouldn't be luxury otherwise 10/10 for the sweetbreads, the frog legs, the meat and the homemade fries 🍟 the local cheese and the dessert..well done chef..I'll be back ❤️

On the side of the road in this typical little Auvergne village we are attracted by this restaurant which seems to emerge from the past. Welcomed by the chef who comes out of his kitchen all smiles (ha, how good it is to see people happy in their work) we are seated in the bright and well-appointed room. Nice road atmosphere, mopeds and old bicycles in decoration. Missing a pinball machine or an arcade machine and we are back in the 80s. Everything is for the best. The only waitress, fast and efficient, brings us the menu and the slate. A starter, main course and dessert menu of the day plus coffee or tea for 17€50. Another at 18€50 with 1/4 wine... a simple, local menu with prices not exceeding 30€ for a complete meal...The 80s I tell you. That day, as a starter quiche or cold meats and as a main course beef tongue or chicken with potatoes... Bad memory of the beef tongue from the canteen, I hesitate to try it. The waitress questioned brings us a sample on a plate to taste. It’s smart and validated. It will be beef tongue. Cold meats as a starter. Basic but effective. Missing a knob of salted butter... you have to nitpick a little. Beef tongue as a dish.... It is excellent. Fondant and well accompanied by its glazed carrots (yes yes. Not just boiled) and its potatoes as well as a well-reduced shallot sauce. Fresh vegetables, it must be specified. It's good, it's delicious. Here I am reconciled with this dish and very, very far from the college canteen. The wine in the pitcher is of average quality but much better than in many breweries (they do however have a choice of bottled wines which I will try on occasion). It's going well. For dessert, a piece of soft and well-cooked homemade cake (I had the choice of panaccota but I like cake) to finish on another good note. Tea in bags but of quality (but not the choice too bad). Checkout and tip in the piggy bank, we are full and happy. A good place for a family meal or a lunch stop in a place that is becoming increasingly rare. Good, quality home cooking at a reasonable price, it's been a long time since I've had it. If you pass through Auzat or nearby, don't hesitate to stop there.

Decent meal but a little expensive. (Value for money) Small terrace between road and rivers (we hear the road a lot and see little of the rivers) on the service side a tray with the lift from another table was waiting for us on ours upon arrival, removed 5 minutes more late without excuse.

Leave A75 exit 18, towards Brioude. Shaded terrace above the Allier, nice daily formula at a very reasonable price.

Very good and a good price, efficient cuisine worthy of the workers' meals of yesteryear.
Decoration of the room just as rustic and very pleasant.
Pleasant and fast service despite the difficulty of a full room.
