We had an excellent stay. The setting is warm, traditional, and very well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, perfect for a quiet weekend.
The restaurant is a wonderful surprise! The cuisine is generous, homemade with fresh, local produce. The menu offers traditional dishes with a refined twist.
The staff is welcoming, attentive, and always available to offer advice on dishes or activities in the surrounding area. You can sense a real passion in their work.
A place to remember for a relaxing and gourmet getaway. We will be happy to return!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel-restaurant! The welcome was warm and the service impeccable. The traditional cuisine was simply delicious: homemade dishes, beautifully presented. You can feel the chef's expertise and passion in every dish. The setting is pleasant, friendly, and very clean.
I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience and a relaxing stay. We will definitely return!

Very good food, however the salad that comes with the ravioli is excessively expensive (5 euros per bowl).

Restaurant only. We hadn't booked and at 12:15 there was only one table left, fortunately for us. An excellent walnut wine for the aperitif that reminded me of the one my mother used to make... 2 very generous menus: starter, main course, dessert. Delicious mushroom velouté and soft-boiled egg as a starter, but so generous that it could be a meal. I was kindly offered to take away the lamb shank that I couldn't finish. The service is unpretentious but that's not what we were looking for; the staff works hard to satisfy all customers. We are very happy to have passed through Vassieux (despite the unfavorable weather).

Excellent restaurant! The dishes are delicious and generous, with a special mention for the ravioli, absolutely excellent. But what we appreciated most was the welcome: the team was very understanding and quick even though we had to postpone and then bring forward our reservation, because we were following a race of our relatives. Thank you for your kindness and flexibility - we had a great time at the Black Grouse!

Excellent location for those who wish to enjoy the beautiful walks on this side of the Vercors. The nights are peaceful in very pleasant comfort. The welcome is very warm. And to comfort yourself after returning from long walks, dinner at the hotel restaurant with its selection of local specialties is a very good time. With a seasonal must-have, the velouté and its soft-boiled egg. Thank you all.

A great location right in the center of Vassieux-en-Vercors. Parking is available across the street and there's a great bakery and pastry shop right next door.

Very clean hotel, very good room except unfortunately the bathroom is very very small for someone quite corpulent not possible to take a shower and the toilets are the same shame on the other hand for the very good catering as well as the service and the perfect location to discover Vassieux en Vercors and its resistance museum
