Auberge du Val d'Ornain sur Val-D'Ornain

Great discovery of this hostel near Bar le Duc. During our motorcycle rides we usually find a nice place for our lunch break and we have not regretted our choice. The weather being favorable to us, we had the pleasure of enjoying the beautiful terrace which is really pleasant. The card does not look like the Paris telephone directory (it fits on one page) and its minimalist side is reassuring and allows you to quickly make your choice. For us, a sweetbread, just perfect (cooking and presentation), an excellent and very hearty paella and a thousand strawberry leaves to finish. It is with great pleasure that we will return to the Auberge du Val d’Ornain during our next visit to Bar Le Duc and we can only recommend it.

Very good restaurant. Second time we have eaten there and once again we are not disappointed with the meal.

Das Menü konnte man als akzeptabel bezeichnen. Es wurde leider lauwarm serviert, und das Dessert schmeckte wie fertig gekauft und zu spät aus der Tiefkühltruhe genommen. Die Paella ( Spezialität des Hauses!) jedoch war wirklich lieblos auf den Teller geklatscht, und geschmacklich nichts Besonderes!

Charming place, clean, pleasant staff, fine and excellent cuisine. Restaurant worth visiting! We ate a good, well-filled paella and a dessert to die for!

Cuisine worthy of a Michelin star, excellent lamb shank, foie gras we would have it a second time, delicious Mirabelle soufflé, just a downside the bread!!!! Very pleasant exterior and interior setting, I highly recommend this address,
