I stayed at the gite during my GR5 hike, half-board. It had a neat dormitory with a nice, large room next to it for relaxing. We had delicious food and breakfast. The hostess was very friendly!
We had dinner at this inn. The manager gave us a very warm welcome; he told us about the history of this inn during the Second World War.
We had the hiker's menu, which was perfect from starter to dessert (tomato toast for starter, Morteau sausage and rösti for main course, blueberry tart for dessert). Everything is homemade, and the service is fast. So stop by! You won't be disappointed.

No raclette or fondue on a Sunday lunchtime. So be it...
We ordered the €42 menu of delights (served to the entire table only...). So be it...
The charcuterie starter plate is more like a tasting of samples or an appetizer than an entrée (alas). But it says "Assiette" (plate)...we expect more than a few very thin slices...so be it...
even though the products are excellent. The table next to us was also surprised by the quantities...too meager for an inn. The bottle of Chardonnay (very good), unfortunately, wasn't chilled...
My chicken thigh with savagnin was... very... lean, a little dry, but tasty with a good sauce 👍..
But the gratin dauphinois accompaniment was really too light (three slices of potato!) on each plate... (potatoes aren't expensive, though....🙁)
To finish, a sabayon that was too cold... A little frozen... but very good...
If the restaurant has just been taken over, we should just take this humble feedback into account...
In any case, an increase in quantities would be welcome for a mountain inn.

Prix prohibitif.
J'ai connu ce restaurant il y a 25ans, c'était une toute autre expérience
21/08/2024: Une cuisine raffinée avec de bons produits de saison.
Entrée, plat, dessert. Tout est succulent.
Un des meilleurs restaurants du val de morteau.
