Passing through and one of the only restaurants open in the area before Easter, I stopped here for lunch (also thanks to the very good reviews).
Good welcome and pleasant setting by the fire, the meal was more than successful: I had a dessert dish, the dish was a more than fresh line bass with vegetables cooked properly and a delicious sauce, the dessert was a revisited dark chocolate crumble, I enjoyed it!

On a friend's strong recommendation we came for Sunday lunch. What a find! The restaurant is situated in a beautiful tranquil setting. We were greeted at the door by the friendly owner who gave exceptional service throughout. The dining area is warm and inviting and the food...WOW! We were offered an amuse bouche of parmesan biscuits followed by creamy Jerusalem artichoke purée... delicious! Our party of four went on to have starters of super fresh cuttlefish, beautifully prepared with horseradish and celeriac, Potato and onion soup with local cured ham which was full of flavour. Mains included beef and monkfish beautifully served with seasonal vegetables and incredible sauces. Desert: local cheese board and an out-of-this-world Paris brest with praline cream. The owner told us that all ingredients are sourced locally and served as fresh as possible. The proof is in the taste! As such, the menu is updated weekly. The wine list was extensive with several organic choices. All four of us agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had in France and will definitely return in haste
Very friendly inn with a moderate choice and above all dishes prepared by the chef. A real inn with dishes that do not come out of the hat of Métro. The owner will help you choose your wines to accompany your culinary choice (she is above all eunologist or sommelier).
Price very appropriate given the setting, the service as well as the beauty of the plate.

A warm place discovered somewhat by chance.
There were 4 of us and all 4 of us were of the same opinion and very surprised.
First of all, a very friendly and smiling hostess brought sunshine to a sad rainy day.
A fireplace or gently logs provide gentle warmth and then the discovery of tasty cuisine.... inventive! little choice perhaps? but the absolute guarantee of fresh and prepared cuisine.
And no disappointment, it's good, it's even very good.
An address to remember, a cuisine to discover.
Everything is tasty from starter to dessert and the homemade petit fours as aperitifs are a marvel of flavor.
Rather than describing the dishes to you, I invite you to discover them, it’s so much better
Take the detour, come on purpose, whatever! you can't regret it.
It's good, very reasonable, even too reasonable in price!!! but that should not be said.
During our trip to the Dordogne we stopped at this charming little restaurant. A moment of pure delight on all levels. Congratulations to the chef for his tasty and harmonious dishes and thank you again for the welcome and service provided by his charming wife. Not to be missed on your route!!!!
