Auberge du Zoo sur Mulhouse

We came to the Auberge du Zoo for lunch on Sunday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were asked if we would like to eat on the terrace or inside. Given the extreme heatwave warning and temperatures nearing 40°C outside, we naturally chose the indoor dining room. Unfortunately, it was neither air-conditioned nor equipped with fans. It was around 36°C inside, and we felt stifled throughout the meal. We asked if it would be possible to have a fan, but received no response from the waiter. However, a few moments later, another table was given a fan, which we found regrettable. We would also like to point out that the waiters were doing their best despite the very difficult working conditions. They were drenched in sweat, their shirts completely soaked. We felt very sorry for them and wondered how they managed to work in such heat. It's a real shame, because this unbearable heat completely ruined what should have been a pleasant meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

The restaurant is excellent: the food is very good, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, our experience at the upstairs bar was very disappointing. The bartender was arrogant and unpleasant, which really spoiled the experience. Furthermore, the cocktails we ordered were not up to par and very expensive! It's a shame, as this contrasts sharply with the quality of the restaurant.

What a delightful pleasure to enjoy a meal on a shaded terrace! A wonderful time to share as a couple or in a group. Thank you to the servers, especially Eddi and Mehdi, who made us truly appreciate the setting, and also to the chefs.

An institution I visited for the first time a few days ago. Very elegant, we were lucky enough to have a romantic dinner for two in the grand dining room! The building is stunning, the staff incredibly attentive, and the food of very high quality! The dishes were beautifully presented and served.

Auberge du Zoo is a truly lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. You can tell that the food is prepared with great care and attention to quality. One minor drawback was the somewhat long wait. However, it was absolutely worth the wait. I would love to come back and highly recommend this restaurant.

A great experience, beyond just the food. Had the pleasure to grab a lunch here with a group of 5 and it was super nice. The place looks wonderful, with a lot of vintage touches like an ancient phone and 1900s furniture. Food is great, they have a super selection of proposed menus. Portions are quite large and the service is perfect. We got served by a lady who had 44 years of experience and that showed. Everything was super nice. Would definitely recommend, alongside with a visit to the zoo.

Incredible service, decent food, and a wonderful setting. Be warned, the bill is steep.

We wish to express our complete satisfaction with our recent visit to your establishment. The dishes were exquisitely flavorful and the service impeccable, marked by warm smiles that greatly contributed to our enjoyment. We were a group of about twenty people celebrating my granddaughter's christening, an event made even more special by the surprise of a wedding vow renewal. All the guests, adults and children alike, were received with the utmost care. The spring menu we enjoyed was a true delight with every bite. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team, and especially to Laurent Disney. His professionalism, kindness, and generosity made this a truly memorable experience. If there's one place you absolutely must visit in Mulhouse, it's this one. A refined atmosphere pervades this magnificent space, with aperitifs served upstairs overlooking the restaurant. Then, an excellent meal at a very reasonable price – simply superb. This former theater is a must-see; thank you to the team.
