Auberge Ensoleillée Restaurant sur Dun-Les-Places

Somewhat disappointed with the place. I guess I got it wrong, but there was a smell of fuel during my meal. I didn't particularly like the starter I chose, namely raw vegetables. The main course, ham with cream, was good. The correct dessert but nothing more. The setting is pretty, it's a shame that the smell of fuel was present. The service seemed to be run by just one person, but there wasn't much of a wait.

Honestly, I recommend this hostel, but you need to book. The atmosphere is friendly and the place is very rustic but the food is excellent and the waitress is very friendly and we had an excellent evening.

Calm atmosphere and service ok but slow while the restaurant was only 30% full this lunchtime. In terms of cuisine, it's less good with a rather disappointing €39 menu because for the region it's a significant price. Terrine mediocre served generously, very average pikeperch in white butter, sweetbreads not cooked enough and in small portions. Moreover, the waitress made it clear to us that the quantities were significantly less than on the menu... As for the garnish, the rice with the fish was normal. The fried potatoes were way too oily and the ratatouille ok but swimming in oil. As for the cheese platter, the wife and the cheese from the stone which turns excellent, the Saint-Nectaire without any interest and for the camembert there were two tiny little pieces so in this case frankly better to replace them with a whole Camembert is a bit stingy. For dessert we had ice cream which was of no interest. As said, the terrace is calm and very pleasant; this is the strong point. On the other hand, we feel that the boss is working hard on his margin and it is visible on the plate. Maybe thanks to that he has a brand new Range Rover 😄 But the catering offer is not very wide in the area so before or after a hike, it remains a nice stopover

At first glance a well-known house then we find a decor of yesteryear in its original style, here we are back years ago, nostalgia, tablecloths and napkins, excellent, a kindly friendly welcome and service, 39€ a good meal a good time, starters, main courses, cheeses and desserts, in summary of this culinary time, good homemade foie gras starter, white pikeperch butter, the famous one which makes the detour calf's head 2 excellent sauces, limited choice of cheeses and good desserts.

I fell in love with this hostel! We feel so good there! I love the retro/rustic style, with old-fashioned cuisine, you feel like you're at your grandmother's house... it made me nostalgic. ☺️ I prefer this style a thousand times over “modern”. It has a little reassuring side... The staff are adorable, the food delicious, I enjoyed it from start to finish... I no longer wanted to leave but rather to settle in, lol. So charming! I can only recommend!!! 🤩 Note that for 26€ (you can also have a la carte of course), you have a complete menu (starter, main course, cheese, dessert), everything is sufficiently generous, you clearly get what you pay for, and for that also, I add a triple +. 😎

A family meal (3 generations) in a family inn. Everyone found their happiness there to match their appetite. And as the sun was out, we were delighted.

We had a warm welcome, the food was generous and delicious. We had a great time.

Menus et plats a la carte, tous très copieux et goûteux, convennant aux plus exigeants qui souhaitent retrouver une cuisine comme on n'en fait plus.

Restaurant classique, un peu désuet. Avec une cuisine familiale bonne à l’ancienne. La salle n’est pas très grande pour beaucoup de monde, l’ambiance est un peu sonore… Le service est efficace avec les serveuses aimables +++. La carte est sympa, le foie gras bon, pour le jambon à la crème petite déception avec un jambon ordinaire… Un super fromage blanc servi dans son saladier accompagné de crème fraîche et herbes cisèles ou sucre, plateau de fromages ordinaire, desserts moyens avec une mousse au chocolat gélatineuse et une crème brûlée qui est en fait des œufs au lait… Un menu a 39€, un apéro, 1/2 bouteille de vin, un café comptez 45€ par personne.. une bonne adresse simple et familiale
