Auberge Goxoki sur Saint-Martin-D'Arberoue

The food was delicious! The tartare, the duck, and the chocolate fondant were all fantastic. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in a peaceful setting, watching the sunset, and the service from Marga and her husband was impeccable. The duck sauce was spectacular! 100% recommended!

We arrived at 2 pm, the four of us, after a hike with the children, and were welcomed with lovely platters to share. It was perfect! A big thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while passing through, and it was a wonderful discovery! The talented and passionate chef prepared delicious dishes for us using fresh, local ingredients. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

A must-visit in the Basque Country, this inn in St Martin d’Arberoue was a wonderful discovery. The quality of the food we enjoyed, the warm welcome, and the kindness of the owners made our stay truly memorable, so we returned twice. Chef Margaret is an extraordinary person who doesn't hesitate to connect with guests and share her passion for cooking. After visiting the Isturiz Caves, we looked for a nearby place to eat and Auberge Goxoki popped up, and we were absolutely right. The set menu has two starters, two main courses, and two desserts (there are only five other dishes not on the menu). All the dishes feature seasonal ingredients. We ordered everything and couldn't possibly choose the best, but the cream of pea soup with burrata and prawns was a 10/10, and the duck breast with mashed potatoes was incredible. We ate on the terrace, and it was incredibly peaceful. If you visit the caves or are nearby, don't hesitate. We give it a 10/10. A must-visit.

Excellent inn. Delicious food prepared with fresh ingredients. Everything is homemade. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert. A place to remember.

A huge thank you to Margareth and her husband; we had a wonderful meal. The menu was excellent, and we were even treated to truffle jus to accompany the duck—pure bliss. Charming hosts, and they even shared anecdotes about a few famous figures. Also worth noting is a wine cellar worthy of the finest restaurants.

Excellent meal: trout tartare with guacamole, guinea fowl with chanterelle mushrooms and tagliatelle, and for dessert, raspberry panna cotta – a delight for €30! If you're passing through, stop by for a meal 👍🏻
