I came on the recommendation of the Académie du Goût and I was not disappointed: it's the best cassoulet I've ever eaten! Cooked just right, a firm sausage that doesn't fall apart, duck confit but firm, beans perfectly cooked and crispy on top, without bathing in sauce! A summit!
And my wife enjoyed the duck breast with honey and vegetables, and even the cherry dessert!
Well worth the detour!
The menu with the foie gras salad and the cassoulet (it was a dish for 2), excellent, be careful, big appetites will be satisfied and for a very reasonable price.
I recommend.
A slightly outdated style inn lost in the countryside a few minutes from Castelnaudary. The welcome is friendly and warm. We chose the menu option. The starters were excellent but I will especially focus on the cassoulet. A very present crust which covers the meltingly tender beans, a silky confit and an almost syrupy broth with a spicy aroma.
A real treat for very good value for money. No regrets about the detour.
Menu à 28 euros, excellent et copieux, salade de foie gras, cassoulet, bouchon baba au rhum et cassoulet sucre( glace)
Repas servi sans attente, ambiance amicale au calme
