Auberge la Dormilhosa sur Freissinieres

On August 13, 2026, we stopped at Auberge La Dormilhosa for a coffee break. We received a wonderful welcome from the owner, who was warm and friendly. The setting is beautiful, and the cappuccino and homemade blueberry tart were delicious. We will definitely return and highly recommend this lovely inn.

The owners are incredibly friendly and the home-style cooking is delicious (surprise menu). Reservations are essential. We managed with very little French or German spoken. Excellent regional wines. A truly unique and wonderful experience.

We ended up here by chance because the road was closed. They had delicious drinks, ice cream, and blueberry or apricot tarts. The owner spoke to us in German and was very welcoming. Highly recommended!!! Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back... And no, I don't want the Nissan Navara 🤣🤣🤣 Best regards from Chien too 😇

There are places where, as soon as you arrive, you say to yourself, "I'll be back." You feel good there 😊. The home-style cooking is so tempting, you want more.
