Having stayed and eaten at The Feniere for 6 times in previous years when Reine Samuut was the proprietor, we always used this hotel to stay at when we were travelling through the South it was our banker knowing we would be happy there and get good Service. We hadn’t booked as we found ourselves in the area we were lucky (so we thought )there was a room available for 2 nights. The room was very sparsely furnished no headboard, Tv , no Fridge paintwork marked, bathroom curtain over the bath for the shower, paint coming off the tiles on the vanity unit.
We ate in the Restaurant completely dissatisfied a choice of 2 starter, 2 mains which one was fish, 2 desserts. All courses were tasteless. We are not Vegetarian or vegan we are happy to eat vegetarian if there is taste we like good food but felt that the plot has been lost here. In all style over substance The Sommelier was dressed in what I would garden in ! a sloppy jumper! The music in the background was very dreary it was very badly lit no lights to show off the lovely grounds with the olive trees, as they always used to be.
The reception staff were very accommodating ,
So no we will not return to our once favourite hotel restaurant .

We stayed 3 nights to extend our vacation in Provence, guided by the reputation of the restaurant and the place
We took advantage of… everything. Gourmet restaurant, country table and Sunday brunch, visit to the vegetable garden, garden…. Biscuits from the store……
Beyond the place, the well-being felt, we discovered above all the passion carried by a very young team, to whom Nadia Sammut visibly gives everyone the opportunity to find their way. It is a pleasure to interact with these very motivated young people. Bravo to Gilles Bourgeois (and thanks again for the natural sourdough), bravo to our favorite young pastry chef whose first name escapes us at the moment, sorry
The cuisine is certainly gluten and lactose free but it is well beyond: creation, the astonishing, the different, the cuisine that makes you smile and gives meaning.

A lovely moment shared with family for Father's Day ❤️
A lunch in the form of a brunch to share has delighted all generations 😉.
The setting is fabulous, green and beautifully maintained. The terrace is pleasant even with the summer heat!

We spent a timeless weekend at La Fenière where we enjoyed everything. The gourmet dinner was incredible, as was the service team. Chef Nadia Sammut's cuisine is surprising and delicious. I find it hard to understand comments from people who say they left hungry...
The cabin we slept in was charming, with the swimming pool right in front and the olive trees as far as the eye could see. We had an excellent weekend and we would like to thank the entire Fenière team who greatly participated.

Nadia Sammut concocts cuisine with the authentic taste of mother nature, far from industrial cuisine. Tasting menu with a range of dishes, each more delicious than the last. Young and dynamic staff. The establishment also offers spacious and well-appointed rooms with terrace and swimming lane. Exceptional address off the beaten track... a change of scenery guaranteed.

Je me suis retrouvé par hasard dans cet établissement lors d’un déplacement professionnel. J’ai été séduit par le calme , l’accueil et ce cadre hors du temps. J’ai souhaité goûter à la cuisine de Nadia SAMMUT. Expérience réussie. Le dîner bistronomique est à la fois surprenant et logique, tellement l’association des produits (locaux et respectueux de l’environnement) sont associés avec finesse. Nous sommes loin des standards froids et parfois un peu guindés de la grande cuisine. La proposition associe bienveillance, qualité et sérénité. La cheffe a pris le temps de partager un instant avec moi pour que je lui donne mon ressenti sur le lieu et sa cuisine. Je garde en mémoire tous ces instants comme une parenthèse inattendue. Bravo à cette cheffe engagée pour sa simplicité et son engagement culinaire. L’équipe est à son image. Je recommande cet endroit sans aucune retenue.
I’m really perplexed by some of the negative reviews about this restaurant. I visited with a group of friends, there were 10 of us and we had the most fantastic experience. We were greeted very warmly by Nadia herself and the waitress and waiter who looked after us were warm and friendly and so passionate and knowledgeable about the food.
The food itself was an absolute masterclass in innovation and creativity, what Nadia and her chefs can create without meat, gluten or diary was phenomenal and I am happy to eat all 3 but didn’t miss them. Presentation was beautiful and the setting gorgeous. This place has a very special energy if you welcome its embrace with an open heart.
