Auberge la Fontaine aux Bretons sur Pornic

We spent the weekend there with my mother, a birthday present, and what can I say, we were able to leave here rested. Everything was great, the rooms are very beautiful and quite large (maybe add a hook next to the shower for the towel?), the magnificent view, the area itself is calming, the animals are really a plus. Seeing the gentleman who comes to feed the pigs around 9 a.m. when we are having breakfast is amusing (we see the pigs running after this person and following him 😅) Besides, the breakfast is up to par in this area, caramel homemade, the pancakes are excellent as well as the homemade fig jam too. And it's not the only homemade product but everything is excellent, a great choice for everyone (sweet, savory, vegetarian, gluten-free). The spa is relaxing, impressive to see the snow fountain! But the big plus of this area I would say is the restaurant. We went there both evenings, the starter with the perfect egg and the main with the octopus casserole were just exquisite... A real delight, I absolutely recommend the restaurant, the service is perfect. Additionally, everyone is kind, caring and helpful. The small living room is so pleasant that you could spend the day there! Most of the people who come to the ecodomain live far away so a car is essential (especially with luggage) but after that it's not that far on foot from the city and even less from the sea! I will come back with pleasure, for the night or even just a meal!

We had beautiful moment lost in time. The spa is really well equipped and steps from the rooms. The massage was one of the best I had and I had many. Her voice was as gentle as the massage that was the perfect balance between softness and tonic, all the details of a perfectly handled process make this moment a perfect match, from the hot towels and oil at the beginning to the hot custom made tea from the herbs of the garden at the end. The entire garden where you can eat and drink and feel at home and the many animal make this place a peaceful and ideal place to relax, for couples and families. Special thanks to the servers that are really kind and friendly and helpful. Oh and for the late checkout. Theses are all the little details that make a memorable stay. Keep the spirit

Ideal idyllic setting with children

This area is very beautiful, the staff very welcoming 😊 We booked a massage service, with 1.5 hours of free access to the spa, good value for money! We are delighted with the service, we will come back for sure! 👍🏼

Visit only the exteriors, educational farm, very pleasant setting with a splendid view

Site magnifique : entre campagne et mer ! Très beau jardin et quelques animaux qui invitent à la balade digestive Grande et belle salle avec une énorme cheminée Un seul menu à 37 euros avec uniquement deux choix dans les E-P et D Pas de menu enfant. Plats peu copieux à mon goût mais joliment présentés. Le tout un peu cher ! Personnel sympa et efficace.

I had the chance to participate in the 3-day permaculture course at La Fontaine aux Bretons. In a warm, invigorating learning atmosphere, I enjoyed knowledge, good practices, ideas... Mathieu, trainer, was able to put the group at ease. I highly recommend it! Additionally, the meals and service at the inn were excellent. A significant bonus!

We had a great time at the spa, duo massage and sensory journey, a real moment of relaxation. Thank you to the staff who take great care in a very pretty place.

Avions réservé plusieurs semaines à l’avance en précisant pour un anniversaire après étude de la carte et prix du Menu ! On s’est retrouvé avec un menu de Pâques imposé sans choix pour 2 plats sur 3 et un prix majoré et bien évidemment imposé, dommage de ne pas avoir été avertis lors de l’a réservation ! Sinon les + : belle présentation et qualité des plats, personnel agréable et bel environnement, un dessert excellent. Les - : ce qui précède, une entrée qui aurait pu faire office d’amuse-bouche (1 seule asperge verte découpée et 3 rondelles de radis), des plats de résistance tout juste chauds, et, surprenant, même accompagnement pour la viande que pour le poisson ! Peu copieux dans l’ensemble, le tout pour 44€ sans les boissons.
