AUBERGE LA FORGE sur Lys-Saint-Georges

It's a very pleasant restaurant; it's warm and family-run, and the food is like nothing I've ever tasted—it's so good! It definitely deserves all its stars.

Thanks to a Smartbox offer, we had lunch in this little gem, with its pleasant charm, warm welcome and, as for the food, top-notch. My favorite was the snail casserole with vegetables served in a small squash... it was excellent, we will definitely be back when the weather is nicer....

An extraordinary meal at Auberge La Forge in Lys-Saint-Georges! Fresh, local produce, expertly prepared by Éric Gaulon, a master chef. Véronique Gaulon's welcome is warm and her advice always insightful, reflecting the attentive and professional nature of the team. A friendly place, nestled at the foot of the castle, where everything is in place for a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

A beautiful setting, especially on a sunny day! Very good food, and quite generous, which is a change from most fine dining restaurants. A very warm welcome too. The place is clean, including the restrooms! We had lunch outside thanks to the nice weather, but the interior setting is very pleasant and takes us back in time. The ambiance and smell of old houses are very welcoming. I find it very welcoming. A must-try on a future visit! The only downside is that the service is quite slow. You quickly forget the wait when you see the plates being plated. But it's good to know so you don't have to plan anything after your meal, just a quick visit to the village, especially the pretty little craft shop located right across from the restaurant. Welcomed by the Belmondo lookalike when he was young, the waiter will recognize himself with a gift of the gab that lightens the somewhat heavy atmosphere of the place but which I admit has all the charm of the old we were able to delight our taste buds with a tasty menu just a small remark the crayfish apparently being an object of decoration on the plate should be mentioned because too cooked to be eaten but we had a pleasant time
