Auberge la Marmite sur Saint-Pierre-De-Cole

We had lunch today in this restaurant, it was a joy, friendly welcome, good and hearty authentic cuisine. The desserts are a real delight. The cozy and pleasant setting is to be recommended without hesitation.

Good morning Every day a varied menu, always generous, based on products of the most local origin possible, (local producers as a priority) prepared with the chef's secret gastronomic subtlety. The icing on the cake is a homemade dessert! This Thursday's blanquette was another treat for my memories as a gourmet lover. What will be the surprise today? I am impatient... Enjoy it all..

We took a gourmet break during our motorcycle road trip. A warm welcome and very good food.

Update: since our first visit in August 2023 we have gave now been 5 times, either alone or with friends and family. In the winter a bowl of warming soup is included in the menu. Menu is now €17. Our first visit to La Marmite and we certainly were not disappointed. Super 4 course menu du jour - starter, main course, cheese and dessert for €16.50, excellent value and we all enjoyed our lunch very much. Recommend reserving as very busy even for a Tuesday! We will be back again. Plenty of parking on the square opposite.

So if you are going to visit Saint Jean de Cole, take the time to stop at Saint Pierre de Cole and especially to eat at La Marmite. Beyond the tourist restaurants of Sr Jean, La Marmite is a real inn with traditional cuisine as expected in this region and as it is often too rare. The boss at the service, the lady in the kitchen. He is a straight face who needs to be coaxed but funny when you know how to take it. The atmosphere is incredible, we were there on a Sunday with locals with an average age of 70 but we had a good laugh together. I'm writing such a long comment because it's worth understanding. If you go to La Marmite it's to enjoy and take your time. Entry at 12:30 p.m. exit 3 p.m. So you will understand what it is to live and take the time. For my part, it's been a long time since I felt that way. Thank you for everything.

Très bon accueil, possibilité de visiter l'église à côté (merci), un grand parking pour les motos juste en face, une belle terrasse et une belle carte des plats !

We stopped at this restaurant by chance but were not disappointed! Even if at first the boss seems cold but later very friendly and very efficient in the service despite a lot of people, no waiting!
