We stayed at this "campsite" while passing through, so for just one night. There was a very small field where 2 or 3 caravans can fit, and otherwise about 10 mobile homes, which I believe belong to private individuals. It has a restaurant, which is very popular, but because we were there on a Monday, it was closed. Furthermore, it has a "beach bar" by the river, which is truly fantastic. It has a lounge vibe and plenty of seating. You can enjoy a lovely swim by the river with a beautiful view. We had a standard electricity connection, and there are 3 showers and 3 toilets for the campsite guests. A true gem in nature where you only use the campsite's electricity and water supply and spend the rest of your day by the river. The surroundings are probably beautiful too, I just don't know if there are any nice pictures.
We're at the campsite, our pitch is in full sun, which is a shame in this heatwave! We ate at the inn; the gourmet salad was excellent. The site is really lovely, with a small beach where you can swim in the Creuse River. The welcome was very friendly; I highly recommend it.
Friendly and welcoming service. Generous portions and good value for money. Since the change of ownership, we've been returning regularly with pleasure. The place is more inviting, and the two terraces are a real bonus for Montcocu beach.
