Auberge Le Cul de Paille sur Poitiers

We had a reservation and were short on time, so we ordered a main course and dessert. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very nice and the location is great. The service is simple but very good. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent, original, and plentiful. The service is quick. The welcome is perfect. The only drawback is the noise level in the dining room, which is quite high. Otherwise, everything is perfect!

Top-notch, as usual! The dishes are a delight, the combinations and seasonings are always perfect! The value for money is excellent.

I was in Poitiers for training with a colleague, and I'd heard good things about this restaurant because of the celebrity signatures on the walls. Meh. The set menu is very expensive at €33, and there's no à la carte menu if you don't want the set menu. The desserts are meant to be shared and not very well presented.

Original dishes, as beautiful as they are delicious! Excellent value for money. I highly recommend them.

I came for lunch as a group, and while the food was good, I was disappointed with the service. Indeed, seated in an unheated room, the service was disastrous from beginning to end. We waited 30 minutes before the first bottle of wine was placed on the table. The plates were thrown in front of us, with half the food spilled onto the tablecloth without the slightest apology. The staff's nonchalance was blatant. The cheese plate was meager, and we had to ask for what we were paying for, only to see remnants of cheese miraculously appear, seemingly devoid of any substance. Paying doesn't make us kings. However, if we go to a restaurant rather than having a casual get-together with friends, it's to receive service that meets our expectations, not to be treated like a walking wallet to be carried around during service hours. It's a shame because the food itself is good, although the lunch portions could be increased.

We were doing an internship with colleagues and discovered this highly regarded restaurant. Le Cul de Paille is a unique place where the food is excellent. The service is welcoming and friendly, and the food is delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend it!

The food was still excellent. However, the service at the end of the meal was completely neglected: no one was in the dining room for 15 to 20 minutes. As a result, we went to the bar to pay without having been able to get coffee. Another wait with no one there. The two people in charge of the dining room finally reappeared with a brief comment: "I'm back." Completely unacceptable.
