Auberge Le Moulin sur Jure

Hidden in the greenery, yet easily accessible (it's on the street), L'Auberge restaurant is nestled in a mysterious and authentic atmosphere. The establishment is an old mill, covered in ivy, with tables set in the style of a traditional inn... you feel transported to the 14th century, simply fantastic! The innkeepers (a brother and sister in their seventies) are very welcoming and energetic; I loved them! The local cuisine is delicious. An experience not to be missed :)

A magnificent inn in a 16th-century mill. The welcome is incredibly warm, the dining room transports you back in time, and the delicious homemade meals feature local produce. Don't expect a 5-star experience; this is truly an old-fashioned inn, with wooden tables and benches and white paper tablecloths. If you're looking for authenticity, go for it. A generous charcuterie platter, a main course (omelet that day), cheese, dessert, a bottle of sparkling water, and two bottles of homemade cider are included for 20 euros per person. Homemade jams are also available for purchase. It's best to book in advance.

An inn where you feel welcomed like family! The welcome is truly warm and friendly, and the service is quick yet attentive. The food is of very high quality and full of flavor. The charcuterie board was excellent, the roast veal incredibly tender and flavorful, and the Fourme cheese simply delicious. We had a wonderful time from beginning to end. I highly recommend this place, and we can't wait to go back!

We take a step back in time with a visit to the Auberge du Moulin de Juré. Simple meals, but excellent ingredients, expertly prepared. Reservations are recommended as it's often full. A building that has remained unchanged for centuries, it generates its own electricity thanks to the mill, which is also used for sawing wood, pressing apple juice, and more. An extraordinary experience steeped in rural and Forez traditions.

Simplicity, efficiency, and excellent food. Very friendly staff. I recommend checking it out! Note to the owner: Even though it's a traditional inn, it would be nice to serve the wine in wine glasses, rather than Duralex ones.
